Field Hockey Releases 2008 Schedule; Pioneers Set For Inaugural Season In PSAC
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Jul. 11, 2008) – C.W. Post head field hockey coach
Raenee Savin released the schedule for the upcoming 2008 season. C.W. Post, fresh off their first NCAA tournament appearance since 1983 with a program-best 16 wins, will begin playing in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference this season. Previously, the Pioneers played an independent schedule.
The Pioneers will open their season on the road against Northeast-10 opponents Franklin Pierce University (Aug. 30) and American International College (Aug. 31).
As part of the PSAC, the Pioneers will face each conference opponent twice during the regular season, beginning with their first conference tilt at Millersville University on Sept. 6.
C.W. Post will host nine home contests during the regular season, with the home opener against non-conference Assumption College on Sept. 7.
