Women’s Cross Country Selected Third In ECC Preseason Poll; Men Picked Fifth
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (August 20, 2008) – The C.W. Post women's cross country team was selected third in the East Coast Conference Preseason poll while men's cross country was picked fifth in the 10-team field.
Adelphi University was voted by the coaches as the favorite for both men's and women's cross country while New York Institute of Technology was also second in both polls.
Under the guidance of first-year coach
Rob Morris, the Pioneer women finished fourth overall at the ECC Championships while the men were sixth in Fall 2007. C.W. Post opens the season on Sept. 6 at the Hofstra Invitational in Bethpage, N.Y.
