BRONX, N.Y. (Sept. 20, 2008)
– Junior Kristen Sweeney (Kennebunk, Maine) placed 106th overall in a field of 224 runners as C.W. Post women's cross country finished 21st at the Iona College Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions at Van Cortlandt Park Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Pioneers drew 637 points at the meet. Penn State University was the overall winner of the 6K race with 40 points that included four runners who had top 10 finishes. 
 
Freshman #Maria Costello# (Patchogue, N.Y.) finished second overall for the Pioneers with a final time of 26:31.2 followed by junior Erin Lusenskas (East Atlantic, N.Y.) (28:17.0), Kristin Coscia (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) (29:07.0), and junior Irekpitan Ehikioya (West Hempstead, N.Y.).
 
On the men's side, junior Thomas Brouillard (Syosset, N.Y.) was the top finisher for C.W. Post on the five-mile course with a final time of 28 minute, 50 seconds, bettering his own personal record by eight seconds.
 
Sophomore Timothy Arscott (Ridgewood, N.J.) finished second for the Pioneers at 31:12.3. Senior Anthony Walcott (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) followed at 31:44.8.
 
The University of Michigan won the overall meet with 39 points while Cameron Levon of Southern Utah University was the overall course winner, clocking in at 24:24.1.
 
C.W. Post will run its next course meet at the Codfish Bowl in Boston, Mass. on Sept. 27 at 11 a.m.
