Pascarella, Weiser Earn ECC Player Of The Week Honors

Melissa Pascarella (Sayville, N.Y.) was named Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore goalkeeper
Allie Weiser (Grand Island, N.Y.) earned Defensive Player of the Week nods.
Pascarella contributed a goal to each of the Pioneers' two wins this week. She scored her second goal of the season to help C.W. Post past ECC rival Molloy College, 2-0, on Wednesday night. Pascarella then notched the eventual game winner in the 71st minute to propel the Pioneers past Assumption College, 2-1, Saturday afternoon.
Weiser made a showing in net during the Pioneers two wins. She accumulated her second shutout of the year against Molloy College Wednesday afternoon in a 2-0 Pioneers victory. Weiser continued to ensure the Pioneers' winning ways as she made an appearance in net in the second half, making one save to give C.W. Post a 2-1 win over Assumption College Saturday afternoon.
C.W. Post improved to an overall 8-3-1 record, while earning a perfect 2-0 record in conference play.
The Pioneers are back in action October 14 as they travel to Dowling College for a 7 p.m. conference matchup.
