Women's Soccer Pushes Past Penmen, 3-1

MANCHESTER, N.H. (Oct. 28, 2009)- The C.W. Post Pioneers defeated Southern New Hampshire University, 3-1, in the Penmen's season finale at Larkin Field Wednesday afternoon. The win improves the Pioneers overall record to 12-4-1, while Southern New Hampshire falls to 4-13-3 for the season.
Southern New Hampshire struck early, as Emily Donahue (Bristol, R.I.) fed a pass to teammate Alyssa Integlia (Johnston, R.I.), who chipped a shot over the head of Pioneers' goalkeeper

Qaroline Nahl (Kumla, Sweden) banked a shot at the 24:42 mark to tie the game at a goal apiece. Fellow junior
Ivana Babic (Haninge, Sweden) found the back of the net unassisted in the 33
rd minute to give the Pioneers a 2-1 lead going into halftime.

Prudence Rydstrom (Islip, N.Y.) registered her first goal of the season as she connected with teammate
Danielle DeLuca (Islip, N.Y.) just under 15 minutes into the second half to ensure the win for C.W. Post.
Weiser made two saves in net to capture the win for the Pioneers. Casey Les (Palmer, Mass) made one save during the first 45 minutes of play for Southern New Hampshire, while Stef Les (Natick, Mass) blocked three shots in the second half for the Penmen.
C.W. Post outshot Southern New Hampshire by 11-9 margin, and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
C.W. Post is back in action Saturday, Oct. 31, as the Pioneers travel to University of Bridgeport for their final regular season game at 6 p.m.
