East Coast Conference Launches Weekly Podcasts
Central Islip, N.Y. - The East Coast Conference has announced the launch of the ECC Insider, a weekly podcast that will feature interviews with coaches, administrators and student-athletes from the conference.
"We see these podcasts as another excellent opportunity to promote the East Coast Conference member institutions and their achievements on the field, in the classroom and the community,” commented ECC commissioner Robert Dranoff. “We hope that fans and supporters of the ECC will check in each week for the latest installment of the 'ECC Insider'.”
The ECC continues to embrace the use of technology to promote the conference and their institutions. The podcasts, along with the recent integration of Facebook and Twitter updates, allow the ECC to reach their audiences through multimedia and social networking platforms alike.
Seth Cantor will serve as host for the show, which debuts Friday with an interview of Queens women's tennis standouts, junior Laura Mocodeanu and freshman Erika Goldsmith, in preview of the Oct. 7-8, East Coast Conference championships. Head coach Alan Nagel's Knights will enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed, having gone undefeated in conference play to date this fall.
Upcoming ECC Insider podcasts will include previews of championship tournaments, discussions with key members involved in the conference's community engagement initiatives, and an exclusive conversation with ECC Commissioner, Dr. Robert Dranoff – who is being inducted into the Dowling College Athletic Hall of Fame, Oct. 10.
