Field Set For Men's And Women's Soccer Championships

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 2, 2009) – The East Coast Conference announced the playing fields for the upcoming soccer championships and both the C.W. Post men's and women's squads have qualified to play on Nov. 6.
 
Women's soccer received the No. 2 seed and will host third-seeded Dowling College Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. on Robert Blitz Field. The University of Bridgeport captured the regular season title and will host fourth-seeded Queens College at 3 p.m.
 
Later on Friday, the third-seeded men will travel to play at No. 2 University of Bridgeport for a 6 p.m. kickoff. Top-seeded Dowling will host Queens at 7 p.m.
 
The winners will advance to the ECC final which will be hosted by New York Institute of Technology on Sunday, Nov. 8. The women's final will kick off at 11 a.m. with the men's game following at 2 p.m.
 
The men's team is making its first appearance in the tournament since 2006. The women's squad will make its third straight appearance and comes into the tournament having won the title the last two seasons.

(4) Queens (12-4-1, 5-2 ECC) at (1) Bridgeport (14-1-3, 6-1 ECC) - 3 p.m.

Finals - Sunday, November 8 - 11 a.m.
