Four Pioneers Selected To PSAC East Field Hockey All-Conference Teams

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Nov. 4, 2009) – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its All-PSAC Field Hockey teams and four Pioneers were selected by the conference coaches.
 
Senior forward Krystal Napolitano (Coram, N.Y.) and junior goalkeeper Cortney Colern (Barker, N.Y.) were selected to the PSAC East First Team. Junior forward Amanda Nann (Hamburg, N.J.) and sophomore midfielder Amanda Miller (Newton, N.J.) were named Second Team.
 
Bloomsburg's Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl, Pa.) was the PSAC East Athlete of the Year while East Stroudsburg's Mical Fink (Fleetwood, Pa.) was named Freshman of the Year. Bloomsburg's Jan Hutchinson received Coach of the Year honors.
 
Napolitano led the Pioneers in scoring this season with 11 goals and four assists. She capped off her career in the final game of the season against Kutztown when she scored the game-winner to upset the seventh-ranked Golden Bears. Napolitano notched four game-winners during the season.
 
Colern posted a .732 saves percentage and 8-9 record with three shutouts in goal. 
 
Nann started all 17 games and was second in scoring with 11 goals and three assists. She tallied two game-winners during the season.
 
Meanwhile Miller tallied three goals and one assist in 16 games played.
 
C.W. Post completed its season with an 8-9 overall record, including a 3-6 mark in division play.
