Five Players Earn All Conference Honors;Mullady Named ECC Defensive Player Of The Year

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Nov. 9, 2008)- The East Coast Conference released its All-Conference and Player of the Year picks Sunday afternoon. C.W. Post had five players named to all-conference teams, as well as earning Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Senior Caitlin Mullady (Hauppauge, N.Y.) was named ECC Defensive Player of the Year, as well as being named First Team all-conference. Mullady helped the Pioneers to a 12-6-1 overall record, starting all 19 games for C.W. Post in the backfield.

Juniors Danielle DeLuca (Islip, N.Y.) and Ivana Babic (Haninge, Sweden) joined Mullady on the first team roster along with freshman Prudence Rydstrom (Islip, N.Y.). DeLuca appeared in 18 games in the midfield for C.W. Post, contributing one goal and three assists to the Pioneers' efforts. Babic led her squad in scoring, registering 10 goals and six assists, including four game winning goals, for a total of 26 points during her 19 games played. Rydstrom started in all 19 games during her debut season tallying one goal and one assist for the season.

Junior back Anna Svensson (Stockholm, Sweden) earned Second Team all-conference honors. She registered one assist and helped maintain a 1.79 goals against average one the defensive end for C.W. Post.

C.W. Post completed its season with an overall record of 12-6-1, 5-3 in conference play.
