No. 14 Softball To Host Queens In ECC Championship Opener

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 28, 2009)
– The playing field for the upcoming six-team East Coast Conference Softball Championships, which begin Wednesday. C.W. Post, who is seeded third in the tournament, will host sixth-seeded Queens College at 3 p.m. at the Softball Complex.
Dowling College was the overall regular season champion and received the No. 1 seed while Adelphi University was No. 2. Both teams well get a bye in the first round of the tournament.
No. 4 seed New York Institute of Technology will No. 5 Molloy College on NYIT's campus Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
The Pioneers (30-16, 13-5) split a doubleheader with Queens earlier this season, losing the first game 3-4 before taking the second game 11-2.
