Kiser's 4-0 Week Garners ECC Pitcher Of The Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 6, 2009) – Sophomore
Sarah Kiser (Cooper City, Fla.) went 4-0 last week in four starts to earn East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Kiser had a phenomenal week, winning all four of her starts while allowing just two earned runs. She recorded two shutouts, beginning with a three-hit shutout against Concordia. She struck out nine batters in game two versus St. Thomas Aquinas and pitched a six-inning shutout against Philadelphia. Kiser pitched four hitless innings against Philadelphia but completed the game allowing just four hits with five strikeouts and no walks for her second shutout.
C.W. Post (16-10, 7-1 ECC) will play away this week at New Haven, UMass Lowell and Southern New Hampshire University.
