No. 13 Women's Soccer Battles Philadelphia To 0-0 Tie

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 10, 2009) – No. 13 C.W. Post played Philadelphia University to a 0-0 double overtime tie in non-conference women's soccer action Thursday afternoon on Robert Blitz Field.
The Pioneers (3-1-1) return to action Sept. 15 at home against East Coast Conference rival Queens College for a 4 p.m. meeting. Philadelphia will host Felician College Sept. 12 at 1 p.m.
The Pioneers outshot the Rams 25-7 and held a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks but could not push the ball into the goal.
Freshman goalkeeper Nicole Fierro (East Hampton, N.Y.) made one stop in goal for the Pioneers. For the Rams, freshman goalkeeper Kelli Kowalewski (Samong, N.J.) made a game-high nine saves.
