C.W. Post Athletics Announces 2009 Alumni & Homecoming Weekend Schedule of Events
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 25, 2009) – The C.W. Post Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the schedule of events for the 2009 Homecoming and Alumni Weekend.
There will be a Pep Rally on Friday, October 2 at 7 p.m. in the Pratt Recreation Center Gymnasium. There will be special performances and activities in addition to the introduction of the fall sports teams.
On Saturday, October 3, prior to the football game kicking off, several Pioneer teams will hold their Alumni games. Field hockey will play at 9 a.m. on the turf and men's lacrosse will follow at 9:30 a.m., also on the turn. In the gym, women's basketball will play at 10 a.m. in the Pratt, and out on the athletic fields, women's lacrosse will play on the intramural field at 9 a.m., and softball will play at the Softball Complex at 10 a.m.
At the same time, there will be a C.W. Post Athletics Alumni Breakfast from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Pratt All-Purpose room. Continental breakfast will be served, and R.S.V.P. is required to (516)299-2263.
Finally, at 1 p.m., the main event will kick off, as the C.W. Post Pioneers will kick off against the Shippensburg Red Raiders at 1 p.m.
Price and Ticket information for Homecoming 2009 is as follows:
PRE-REGISTERED: $16 per person - $8 per child 8 years & under – Free for children 3 years & under
AT THE DOOR: $20 per person - $10 per child & years & under – Free for children 3 years & under
Students: $16 with valid student ID; purchase tickets in advance with your meal card at Hillwood Café or Winnick Café
Alumni & Parent Tailgate Permits: Limited number available for purchase in advance only. $10 per space. Rules & Regulations apply. To order, please call (516) 299-2263.
Homecoming tickets include admission to the barbecue and a complimentary pass to the football game. Barbecue includes hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue chicken, salads, desserts, assorted drinks, and much more! A cash bar serving beer will be available for those 21 and over with proper I.D.
