No. 13 Women's Soccer Falls To Southern Connecticut, 1-0, In OT
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Sept. 8, 2009)-The C.W. Post women's soccer team was defeated by rival Southern Connecticut State University, 1-0, Tuesday evening. With the loss, the Pioneers fall to an overall record of 3-1, while Southern Connecticut improves its overall record to 3-2.
Both teams held each other scoreless throughout regulation time, forcing each other into an overtime showdown. Southern Connecticut Owls senior forward Gina DellaRose (Prospect, Conn.) scored the lone goal of the game less than five minutes into overtime off a pass from teammate Danielle MacMurray (Griswold, Conn.) to clinch the game.

Katie DiDio (Vernon, Conn.) blocked three shots to secure the win for Southern Connecticut. Both teams tallied seven shots a piece for the game. The Owls held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
C.W. Post takes the field again Thursday, Sept. 10, as they host Philadelphia University for a 4:30 p.m. game
