Nahl, Weiser Earn ECC Weekly Honors
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Sept. 8, 2009)- The East Coast Conference released its weekly report Tuesday afternoon, naming C.W. Post junior
Qaroline Nahl (Kumla, Sweden) as Offensive Player of the Week, and sophomore goalkeeper
Allie Weiser (Grand Island, N.Y.) as Defensive Player of the Week.
Nahl notched two goals off of four shots on goal to lead the Pioneers past Holy Family University 4-1 Wednesday afternoon. Nahl scored her first goal at the 21:37 mark to put the Pioneers on the board. She found the back of the net again just over twenty minutes later to give C.W. Post a two goal lead.
Wesier, the 2008 ECC Goalkeeper of the year, made two saves in net during 90 minutes of play to
secure C.W. Post's win over Holy Family, protecting the Pioneers' undefeated record.
C.W. Post is back in action Tuesday as they travel to Southern Connecticut State University to take on the Owls in a 7 p.m. matchup.
