Softball Earns High Marks On NFCA All-Academic List

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Oct. 1, 2010) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has ranked C.W. Post 19th among 74 programs on its list of 2009-10 girls got game/NFCA Division II All-Academic Teams. In addition, nine Pioneers were honored as Scholar-Athletes.
C.W. Post, who averaged a 3.35 grade point average, was the highest ranked team in the East Coast Conference ahead of Dowling (31) and St. Thomas Aquinas (55). 
Christie Softy (Floral Park, N.Y.), Shannon Kulnis (Flemington, N.J.), Melissa Medina (Levittown, N.Y.),  Kendall Bright (Manlius, N.Y.), Linda Amarante (Cheshire, Conn.), Kristen Morcone (Milford, Mass.), Lindsey Trotto (Princeton, Mass.), Rogin Hardy (Kirkland, Wash.) and Sarah Kiser (Arnold, Md.) were all honored for their outstanding performance in the classroom.
