Niciforo Earns ECC Rookie of the Week Kudos

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2010)- The East Coast Conference released its weekly report Monday afternoon, selecting C.W. Post women's soccer freshman Alexa Niciforo (East Islip, N.Y.) as the Rookie of the Week.

Niciforo scored three goals to help the 16th-ranked Pioneers to a 2-0 week. She scored the first goal of the game in a 3-1 ECC triumph over Mercy following tallying two goals against Caldwell within a four minute span to help the Pioneers to a 4-0 win over the Cougars earlier in the week. This week's three goals give Niciforo 12 for the season, tying her for the team lead.

The Pioneers will play the remainder of their regular season schedule this week, as they travel to nationally-ranked Kutztown on Tuesday for a 3 p.m. matchup, before playing Queens College at home on Saturday starting at noon in an ECC contest.
