In a battle between two nationally ranked teams, the 16th-ranked C.W. Post women's soccer team battled No. 22 Kutztown to a scoreless tie on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.

C.W. Post now stands at 10-1-4 overall while Kutztown moves to 11-3-2. The tie snaps a five-game winning streak for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers controlled the match in the early going, getting off three shots and forcing Kutztown keeper Alyssa Hackleberg to make two saves in the first three minutes to play.

C.W. Post had the upper hand during the first stanza as the Pioneers held a 10-3 shot differential edge, but Kutztown rebounded in the second half to put the Pioneers on their heels and take six shots while keeping the visitors on the defensive, as the Pioneers did not manage a shot in the second half.

Kutztown had an excellent scoring chance in the first overtime period as Morgan Muracco got off a solid shot but it was just high and deflected off the crossbar.

C.W. Post applied better offensive pressure in the second overtime, taking three shots, but neither team was able to score as the game ended in a draw.

Junior goalkeeper Allie Weiser (Grand Island, N.Y.) made two saves in the effort while counterpart Hackleberg made seven stop.
