Softball Moves Up To No. 18 In This Week's NFCA Poll

STARKVILLE, Miss. (March 17, 2010) – The C.W. Post softball team moved up three spots to No. 21 in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll. 
 
North Georgia College and State University topped the poll with 16 unanimous votes and a 21-0 record. 
 
The Pioneers posted a 5-3 record playing in the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla. last week, including a 2-1 win over national defending champion, Lock Haven University. They were also the only team from the East region to be ranked in this week's poll.
 
Pioneer opponents NYIT along with Minnesota-Mankato, Le Moyne and Caldwell College each received votes.
 
C.W Post will play Le Moyne College in its home opener on Friday, March 19 at 1 p.m. at the Softball Complex.
