O'Keefe Earns ECC Male Runner of the Week

Matthew O'Keefe (East Rockaway, N.Y.) has been recognized earlier today as the ECC Men's Runner of the Week. O'Keefe helped the men to a third place finish at the NJIT Highlander Invitational.
During the Sunday meet, O'Keefe ran a time of 25:16 at the NJIT 8k course to finish second at the race. Not only did the junior break the old course record, along with the first place finisher from Felician, but he also landed fifth place tie in the All-Time 8k course times in Pioneer history. O'Keefe joins Roger Gray with the fifth best time in school accolades, a time Grady set back in 1979.
Joining O'Keefe on the conference weekly report was female runner
Jennifer McLaughlin (Seaford, N.Y.). McLaughlin earned a spot on the report with a spot on the Honor Roll for Week Five of the season.
This weekend will be a trip upstate to the UAlbany Cross Country Invitational. The meet is scheduled for Saturday morning, Oct. 15.
