he Town of Oyster Bay will host a Soccer Festival on Saturday, Aug. 20 at John J. Burns Town Park in Massapequa. According to Town Supervisor John Venditto, the event will feature the NCAA men and women's soccer forces from Hofstra, Binghamton, and Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus.

The NCAA Men's Soccer game will begin at 3:30 p.m. with Hofstra University versus Binghamton University. The NCAA Women's Soccer game will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Hofstra versus C.W. Post.

“The festival, featuring NCAA Men's and Women's Soccer will showcase some of the area's best soccer talent and will make for an entertaining day for the community to watch and enjoy,” Venditto said.

Venditto added that between the Men and Women's games, there will be a Town of Oyster Bay Free Youth Clinic at 5:30 p.m., where kids can practice soccer techniques and enjoy food, gift bags, and iPad drawings.

“The sport of soccer is one of Long Island's most popular youth participation activities,” Vendittio said. “This game coming to the town represents the widespread appeal of the sport. It should be very popular with local residents who enjoy seeing soccer played at a fun yet competitive level. We hope to see our community at the games to support our local college teams.”
