Men's Cross Country Predicted For Three-Peat At ECC Championships; Women Voted Third In Preseason Poll
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (August 29, 2011) – Once again, the C.W. Post men's cross country squad headed by head coach
Rob Morris has been predicted to finish atop the East Coast Conference as voted by the league coaches in the preseason poll.
The men are the overwhelming favorite after receiving six first-place votes to lead the field of eight with 60 points. Molloy and District of Columbia each received one first-place vote.
The Pioneers have captured the ECC title at the conclusion of the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
On the women's side, the Pioneer women finished three points shy of second place behind Molloy. St. Thomas Aquinas earned five first-place nods to lead the poll.
The women finished fourth at last season's ECC Championships and return with a roster of 12 runners.
