No. 3 Women's Soccer Handles Molloy, 4-0

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Oct. 17, 2012) – The No. 3 LIU Post women's soccer team scored all four of its goals in the first 27 minutes of play as the Pioneers coasted to a 4-0 victory over Molloy College on Wednesday evening in East Coast Conference action.
The Pioneers improve to 13-1-1 overall and remain perfect in conference play with a 7-0 record. Molloy slips to 4-6-1 and 2-4-1 in conference play.
The visiting Pioneers wasted little time in getting on the board as
Alexa Niciforo (East Islip, N.Y.) took a pass from
Prudence Rydstrom (Islip, N.Y.) and slotted a shot inside the left post from just under 18-yards out at the 3:23 mark.
Two minutes later, Niciforo crossed a ball into the box and freshman
Hanna Westerling (Alvadalen, Sweden) headed into the top left corner for a 2-0 lead.
Westerling then had a hand in the third goal in the 19th minute as she passed the ball to freshman
Susanne Vistnes (Randaberg, Norway), who blasted a long shot from 25-yards out into the top right corner for a 3-0 lead.
Vistnes rounded out the scoring with her second goal of the game when she took a long ball from the back line, controlled it and beat a defender and the Molloy keeper for a 4-0 lead.
The Pioneers controlled the game from start to finish with a 13-6 scoring edge and 5-2 advantage in corners. Senior goalkeeper
Nicole Fierro (East Hampton, N.Y.) made two saves in the shutout, while Nicole DellaPorta took the loss for the Lions with two saves.
LIU Post returns home to host Queens on Saturday at 12 p.m.
