Women's Soccer Ranked 11th in NSCAA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 2, 2012) - The LIU Post women's soccer team climbed four spots to No. 11 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) Division II National poll. The ranking is the highest for the Pioneers since November 2008.
The Pioneers, who stand firm with the No. 2 spot in the NSCAA East Region poll, posted a 2-0 week with wins over Nyack (3-2) and St. Thomas Aquinas (6-0) last week. The Pioneers have outscored their opponents 31-11, led by
Susanne Vistnes' (Randberg, Norway) 10 goals and seven assists. The Pioneers are 10th in the nation in scoring offense, and Vistnes ranks ninth in points per game, 13th in goals per game, and eighth in assists per game.
LIU Post continues ECC play this week with a trip to Mercy on Oct. 3.
