Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 20, 2012) – The No. 3 LIU Post women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw in double overtime against the Queens College Knights on Saturday afternoon.

LIU Post now stands at 13-1-2 overall and 7-0-1 in conference play, while Queens goes to 9-3-4 overall and 4-1-2 in conference action.

Janine Guerra got the Knights on the board with a goal at 11:36, but the Pioneers countered with the equalizer just seven minutes later at 18:30 as Susanne Vistnes (Randaberg, Norway) crossed the ball toward the front of the net and Hanna Westerling (Alvadalen, Sweden) tipped it in.

But that was all the scoring that either team would manage through the remainder of regulation and two overtime periods.

Senior Nicole Fierro (East Hampton, N.Y.) played a tremendous game in net, making several tough saves to keep the score deadlocked and finished matching her career high of 12 saves.

Allison Breakey made six saves for Queens, who outshot the Pioneers 18-11, while LIU Post generated four corners to one for the Knights.

Next on the slate for the Pioneers is a home matchup against Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday afternoon starting at 3 p.m.
