ECC Announces Playing Field For Upcoming Softball Championships
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (April 23, 2012) – The East Coast Conference released the playing scheduled for the upcoming Softball Championships that begin on Thursday at host Molloy College's softball field at Dean Skelos Sports Complex. No. 2 seed C.W. Post will play Dowling College in the first game of the day at 1 p.m.
The Pioneers (36-18, 24-4 ECC) were 2-2 during the regular season against the Golden Lions (28-15, 21-7 ECC). Their most recent meeting took place on April 14 at Dowling's Brookhaven campus where the Pioneers won the first game, 5-2, before dropping the nightcap, 6-4.
The winner of the game one will play the winner of game two between Molloy and Queens College on Friday at 11 a.m. The losing teams of both games will play at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 26
1 p.m. – Game 1 – No. 3 Dowling vs. No. 2 C.W. Post
3:30 p.m. – Game 2 – No. 4 Queens vs. No. 1 Molloy
Friday, April 27
11 a.m. – Game 3 – Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
1:30 p.m. – Game 4 – Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2
4 p.m. – Game 5 – Winner of Game 4 vs. Loser of Game 3
Saturday, April 28
Noon – Game 6 – Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 5
If necessary – Game 7 (30 minutes after conclusion of Game 6)
