ECC Honors William Clyde With Faculty Appreciation Award
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (May 2, 2012) – The East Coast Conference has named
William Clyde of C.W. Post, Mark Greer of Dowling College, Eileen McGann of Molloy College, Gail Feinzig of NYIT and Mary Ellen Ferraro of St. Thomas Aquinas College the recipients of the inaugural ECC Faculty Appreciation Award in recognition for their support of intercollegiate athletics and student-athletes at their institutions. The recipients of this award will be honored at the ECC Awards Banquet on May 23 at the deSeversky Mansion.
Clyde has served as the Faculty Adopt-A-Team mentor for the Pioneers' men's basketball program from inception in 2008 and has been a fixture within the program ever since. He is active in supporting the student-athletes' on-court and off the court endeavors and has proved an invaluable asset to the coaching and athletic administration staff by helping to engage student-athletes both academically and socially. Clyde never misses a game and has been known to attend practices. He was instrumental in the hiring of head men's basketball coach Chris Casey when the search was open and attends all athletic special events. William Clyde is indeed the epitome of what every college athletic administrator hopes to receive from faculty and staff.
