For The Second Straight Year, LIU Post Tops All ECC Schools In Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings

2011-12 Learfield Sports Director's Cup Standings
CLEVELAND (June 7, 2012)
– The National Association of Collegiate Directors Association released the final standings for the 2011-12 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup and LIU Post is ranked 56th overall – the highest finish among all East Coast Conference institutions for the second straight year.
 
Grand Canyon University was the top ranked school after accumulating 925.50 points throughout the year.
 
LIU Post earned points this spring for women's lacrosse's NCAA championship win as well as softball's appearance in the NCAA Championships.  In all, the Pioneers earned NCAA bids in men's and women's cross country, men's soccer, men's and women's basketball, women's swimming along with women's lacrosse and softball.
 
The Learfield Directors' Cup points system is based on each institution's finish in NCAA Tournaments in up to 14 sports (seven women's, seven men's) throughout the academic year.
