Field Hockey Voted Third In PSAC East Preseason Poll
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (August 23, 2012) – The LIU Post field hockey team was voted to finish third in the PSAC Eastern Division preseason poll, released on Thursday.
Defending national champion, West Chester, received five first-place votes to finish first in the poll, followed by Bloomsburg, who received one first-place vote.
In the west, Shippensburg also received five first-place tallies to lead the division. Indiana (Pa.) was second with one first-place vote.
The Pioneers, who finished 2011 with a 10-8 overall record and advanced to the semifinal round of the PSAC Championship tournament, open their season on Sept. 6 at home against Southern Connecticut.
