Women's Soccer Sweeps ECC Weekly Awards

Jeanine Ambrogi (Greenlan, N.Y.), senior
Nicole Fierro (East Hampton, N.Y.), and freshman
Hanna Westerling (Alvadalen, Sweden) earned weely accolades from the East Coast Conference.
Ambrogi, the Offensive Player of the Week, scored one goal and tallied two assists on the week. She also played an excellent midfield, consistently winning the ball and helping the Pioneers to two wins. Against Georgian Court, she scored the game-winner and added two assists.
Defensive Player of the Week Fierro made eight saves in 180:00 total minutes and allowed only one goal, for a 0.50 average. She also posted an .889 save percentage while making three saves, including a diving stop and a leaping deflection, in a shutout of Georgian Court.
Rookie of the Week goes to Westerling scored two goals to increase her team leading total. She registered one goal against Georgian Court, then two days later, put in the game-winner against Kutztown to help the Pioneers to two victories for the week.
The Pioneers, who stand at 3-0-1 on the season and received votes in last week's NSCAA National poll, will play two contests this week, traveling to Holy Family on Wednesday before returning home to host Caldwell on Saturday.
