Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (Sept. 12, 2012) – Freshman Susanne Vistnes (Randaberg, Norway) and junior Alexa Niciforo (East Islip, N.Y.) connected for two goals, and it was enough for the LIU Post women's soccer team as it held off Holy Family University for a 2-1 win on Wednesday afternoon.

The Pioneers improve to 4-0-1 on the season while Holy Family drops to 0-5.

Niciforo assisted Vistnes just four minutes and 25 seconds into the game on a cross that Vistnes knocked in in front of the net.

Megan Tole got the hosts on the board just four minutes later to tie the score at one, and it remained knotten until the 36th minute, when Niciforo and Vistnes connected again, this time with Niciforo passing to Vistnes, who shot from 10 yards out for the go-ahead goal.

The Pioneers outshot the Tigers by a 15-7 count, and senior goalkeeper Nicole Fierro (East Hampton, N.Y.) made three saves to earn the win.

LIU Post is in action next on Saturday as it hosts Caldwell in a 12 noon matchup.
