The Pioneers posted two wins this week, starting with a 2-1 victory in double overtime against conference foe Dowling. The Pioneers took an early lead in the game on a goal by Vistnes, but the Golden Lions tied it in the second half, forcing overtime, where Vistnes assisted on Alexa Niciforo's (East Islip, N.Y.) game-winner in the second OT stanza. The Pioneers continued their momentum with a 3-0 blanking on Roberts Wesleyan, getting another goal from Vistnes as well as Prudence Rydstrom (Islip, N.Y.) and Hanna Westerling (Alvadalen, Sweden).  Fierro had a strong week, making five saves in each game and allowing only one goal for a .909 save percentage.
