CHANDLER, Ariz. (Oct. 1, 2013) - On Tuesday, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association, along with Penn Monto, released its weekly Division II Top-10 poll, and LIU Post held the fifth spot for the third-straight week.

The Pioneers picked up another two wins last week over Southern Connecticut State and Franklin Pierce to bring their record to a perfect 7-0, including a 2-0 mark in Northeast-10 action. With the wins, LIU Post totaled 98 points in the ledger.

The Top-5 spots in the tally remained the same from the previous week, as Shippensburg, Millersville, West Chester, and Stonehill continued to hold the four spots ahead of the Pioneers. The Raiders pulled in 14 first-place votes for a total of 165 points, while the Marauders raked in the remaining three first-place votes and a total of 151 points. West Chester and Stonehill registered 132, and 123 points, respectively.

Newcomers to the bottom half of the poll included East Stroudsburg, which jumped in at No. 6 and Bentley at No. 9. Mercyhurst fell the farthest, coming in at the 10th spot, after ranking seventh last week.

The Pioneers look to continue their hot start, as they head to Worcester, Mass. for an NE-10 match-up against Assumption on Tuesday (Oct. 1), with play slated to start at 7 p.m.
