Savin Tabbed NFHCA North Region Coach of the Year
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. (Dec. 11, 2013) - On Wednesday, the NFHCA announced its 2013 4U Field Hockey Division II Regional Coaches of the Year, and
Raenee Savin of LIU Post garnered North Region Coach of the Year accolades.
The 4U Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Coach of the Year will be chosen by the NFHCA on Mon., Jan. 6. Savin and the South Region Coach of the Year Bertie Landes will now vie for that title.
In her 11th year at the helm, the Northeast-10 and Synapse Sports Coach of the Year guided the Pioneers to a program-best 21-1 season and a trip to the National Championship. Twenty-one total victories, a 21-game winning streak, a Northeast-10 crown, and a trip to the title game were all firsts for LIU Post field hockey.
With a strong core back next season, Savin is looking to continue the excellence of the 2013 campaign in the years to come.
