LIU Post Ranked 14th In Latest Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Tally
CLEVELAND, Ohio (Dec. 12, 2013) - The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics released the second standings for the 2013-14 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Thursday, and LIU Post was 14th overall. It is the highest ranking among all East Coast Conference institutions thus far.
Grand Valley State took over the lead in the standings with 290 total points, as the Lakers captured the 2013 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer national crown.
LIU Post earned points this fall for field hockey's appearance in the NCAA title game, as well as men's soccer's East Region final appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
The tally does not include volleyball since teams are still competing for the National Championship. The Pioneers are set to battle West Texas A&M today at 1 p.m. EST.
The final Division II fall standings will be released Tuesday, Dec. 24.
