Softball Moves Up One Spot To 14 In NFCA Poll
LOUISVILLE, KY (May 1, 2013) – The LIU Post softball team jumped up one spot in this week's NFCA coaches poll as the No. 15 squad on the list.
This is the second consecutive week that the Pioneers are featured in the national rankings as they are currently on an eight game winning streak and have won 28 of their last 30 contests.
Indianapolis kept the No. 1 overall ranking after receiving 10 first-place votes this week. Southeast Oklahoma State was second in the poll receiving three first-place votes and at No. 4 and 5 in the poll are Valdosta State and Humboldt State receiving two and one first-place votes, respectively.
LIU Post (44-11, 25-3 ECC) is set to host the ECC tournament starting Thursday, May 2 as the No. 1 seed. The Pioneers will host Mercy College in the first game set to start at 1 p.m.
