Season-Opening Women's Soccer Classic Moves to AIC
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Aug. 2, 2013) - The LIU Post Women's Soccer Classic, set to be hosted on September 6 and 8, has recently changed its location. The tournament will now be held at American International College's Ronald J. Abdow Field in Springfield, Mass.
The move, which was initiated by Head Coach
Mark Dawson, comes after the unfortunate announcement that AIC Head Coach
Matt Johnson's youngest son, Max, needs a heart transplant. To learn about Max's story, please visit

"We are very happy to help Coach Johnson and his family in any way possible," said Dawson. "There are more important things going on than soccer matches."
Joining LIU Post and AIC at the season-opening classic are University of Bridgeport and Southern Connecticut State University. The schedule is as follows:
Friday, September 6
AIC vs. Bridgeport - 5 p.m.
LIU Post vs. Southern Connecticut State - 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, September 8
Bridgeport vs. Southern Connecticut State - 2:30 p.m.
LIU Post vs. AIC - 5 p.m.
