Volleyball at New Haven - 7 p.m.
The Pioneers look to snap a three-match skid as they face New Haven at Charger Gymnasium in West Haven, Conn. The team has reached the halfway point of its six-match road trip.

LIU Post (8-9) is coming off a three-set loss to Franklin Pierce on Saturday (Oct. 4). The green and gold fell by scores of 25-19, 26-24 and 26-24. Leading the team was sophomore right-side hitter Analise Austin (Honolulu, Hawaii), who contributed her first double-double (11 kills, 14 digs) of the season. Junior setter/outside hitter Monica Amador (Cedar Park, Texas) added eight kills and six digs, while senior setter Lulu Centro (Rome, Italy) dished out a team-high 28 assists in the effort. Junior libero Rachel Ringor (Honolulu, Hawaii) posted a match-best 19 digs for the Pioneers.

On the year, freshman outside hitter Danielle Valenza (Hauppauge, N.Y.) is LIU Post's leading attacker with 175 kills. Centro's 392 assists are tops for the Pioneers and Ringor has a team-high 214 digs.

New Haven (10-4) has been on a tear in recent weeks, and sports an unbeaten record (4-0) in Northeast-10 Conference play. The Chargers have won 10 consecutive matches, including a three-set sweep of Merrimack on Sunday (Oct. 5). In the contest, senior Kristy Atufunwa (Denver, Colo.) paced the team with 11 kills, while teammates Margo Meteyer (Madison, Wis.) and Kristen Lee (Colorado Springs, Colo.) followed closely behind with 10 kills apiece. Senior setter Kaulana Ane (Paia, Hawaii) pushed a match-high 35 assists.

LIU Post and New Haven last met on Dec. 7, 2013 in the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament final. The Pioneers won that duel in a three-set sweep (25-19, 27-25, 25-18) to advance to the program's first-ever national quarterfinal.
