Women's Basketball vs. Bloomfield - 5 p.m.
In its first home contest of the 2014-15 campaign, the LIU Post women's basketball team will host East Region foe Bloomfield at the Pratt Recreation Center.

The Pioneers (1-1) split their opening contests of the season at the ECC/NE-10 Challenge in Garden City, N.Y., falling to Adelphi, 87-54, on Friday (Nov. 14), before posting a 58-56 triumph against Pace on Saturday (Nov. 15). Senior guard Chelsea Williams (Copiague, N.Y.) collected back-to-back games of 20 or more points, netting 29 in the win over the Setters. Williams made 10 of her 18 shot attempts from the field, pulled down five rebounds, dished out four assists and swiped four steals. So far this season, Williams has averaged 27.5 points per game, while making 53 percent of her field-goal attempts and 76 percent of her foul shots. Senior guard Ashley Castle (Brooklyn, N.Y.) added nine points and eight boards in the victory over Pace, stats which are in line with her season averages.

Bloomfield (1-0) held Dowling in check in a 74-55 win on Saturday (Nov. 15). Four different players reached double figures in points for the Bears, led by a 14-point performance from senior center Tierra Scott (Bear, Del.). Freshman guard Alexia' Tucker (Halifax, Va.) made an impactful debut for Bloomfield, scoring 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including making three field goals from outside the arc. Junior forward Iman Williams (Chesapeake, Va.) amassed six points and a team-best 10 rebounds.

Men's Basketball vs. Bloomfield - 7 p.m.
The action continues at the Pratt Recreation Center, as the LIU Post men's basketball team searches for its first win of the year against Bloomfield at 7 p.m.

LIU Post (0-2) fell to AIC in its most recent contest, 77-63, on Sunday (Nov. 16) at the LIU Post Tip-off Tournament in Brookville. Sophomore forward Greg Dotson (Abington, Penn.) led the green and gold with 18 points and eight rebounds in his first start in a Pioneer uniform. Junior guard Akosa Maduegbunam (Hyde Park, Mass.) scored 17 points and made four three-pointers in the first half, finishing the game 5-of-8 from downtown. On the season, Dotson leads the team with a 12.5 points-per-game average, while senior guard P.J. Torres (New Rochelle, N.Y.) is averaging 12.0 points and a team-high 7.0 rebounds per contest.

Bloomfield (0-2) dropped two close contests, including a 76-73 defeat at the hands of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y. on Sunday (Nov. 16). Junior forward Claude Blue (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 20 points for the Bears in their loss to the Golden Knights, converting 63 percent of his shots from the field. On the young season, Blue has been almost automatic, hitting 12-of-15 shots from the field and making both of his three-point attempts on the season. Senior guard Matt Hall (Brooklyn, N.Y.) is averaging 16.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Bloomfield is shooting 80.5 percent (29-of-36) from the free-throw line to open the 2014-15 campaign.
