Women's Soccer Listed at No. 14 in Latest NSCAA Top-25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 4, 2014) - On Tuesday, the LIU Post women's soccer team moved up two spots to No. 14 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division II Top-25 Poll.
 
The Pioneers are coming off wins in their final two regular season contests, beating Roberts Wesleyan and Daemen in East Coast Conference action last weekend.
 
Against Roberts Wesleyan, the LIU Post offense out-played the Redhawks, taking the match, 4-1. Junior forward Susanne Vistnes (Randaberg, Norway) dished out two assists and scored a goal.
 
On Sunday (Nov. 2), the Pioneers scored four second-half goals in route to a 5-0 victory over the Wildcats. Vistnes added two more goals, finishing the regular season with an ECC-leading 18 markers.
 
Next up for the Pioneers is a showdown with Bridgeport in the semifinals of the 2014 ECC Championships on Wednesday (Nov. 5). The opening kick is slated for 1:30 p.m. from Pioneer Soccer Park.
