BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 9, 2014) - Led by a four-goal showing off the stick of senior forward Lyn-Marie Wilson (Bridgetown, Barbados, W.I.), the No. 5 LIU Post field hockey squad amassed their 14th overall and ninth Northeast-10 conference win over Saint Anselm, 5-1, on Saturday.

First-half action commenced early for the Pioneers, as senior forward Stephanie Ruhle (Wanaque, N.J.) tucked a Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.) assist to the left of the Hawk's goalkeeper, just nine minutes in, to give the green and gold a timely advantage. At 24:55, Wilson added her first unassisted tally to LIU Post's effort. With time expired, the Pioneers were awarded a penalty corner, which Wilson converted to secure a 3-1 lead at half.

Through second period action, Wilson added two more unanswered goals to her offensive strike, at 61:28 and 64:08, clinching the green and gold victory.

The green and gold defense allowed St. Anselm only three total shots to LIU Post's 20. Sophomore goalkeeper Ericka Parks (Nesconset, N.Y.) added an impressive kick-save to her 12-1 mark on the season.

With the win, the Pioneers sit atop conference standings. Head Coach Raenee Savin and the LIU Post field hockey team are back in action Wednesday, Nov. 12, when they are set to close out the regular season in Springfield, Mass. against American International at 4 p.m.
