BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 21, 2014) - On Friday, LIU Post Head Women's Basketball Coach Deirdre Moore announced the signing of Taylor Hosbey (Rochester, N.Y.), who will be joining the Pioneers in the Fall 2014 semester.

A 5-foot-10 guard, Hosbey played her high school ball at East High School in Rochester, N.Y. She was a two-year captain for the Orientals, averaging 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game in her senior season, while compiling 836 total points for her career. Plus, the Rochester native was an All-Conference first-team and All-District selection in her junior and senior campaigns.

"We are happy to have Taylor join our women's basketball team," Moore said. "She has had a successful high school career and we are looking for her to do well here at LIU Post. She is long and athletic and an aggressive defender and scorer. We're looking forward to her contributing right away."

The Pioneers wrapped up a program-setting 2013-14 campaign, falling in the NCAA Division II East Region Championship final to top-ranked Bentley. The green and gold finished with a 24-7 overall record, the second-most single-season wins in program history.
