Softball Moves to 22nd in NFCA Division II Rankings
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Apr. 2, 2014) - After securing four East Coast Conference victories, the LIU Post softball team moved up a spot to 22nd in Wednesday's NFCA Division II Poll.
Four straight victories over league foe Tarleton State by a combined score of 46-8 helped West Texas A&M (31-4) maintain its iron grip on the No. 1 ranking in the tally for the sixth-straight week.
A 14-game win streak has the Pioneers sporting an overall record of 17-3, including a 4-0 mark in league action. Their latest victories came in a doubleheader sweep at ECC foe Bridgeport on Tuesday (Apr. 1). The green and gold won by 3-1 and 9-0 decisions.
On Thursday (Apr. 3), LIU Post returns home for a conference twinbill against St. Thomas Aquinas, which is set to start at 3 p.m. in Brookville, N.Y.
