BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (May 1, 2014) - On Thursday, Head Coach Deirdre Moore of the LIU Post women's basketball program announced the signing of Amirror Dixon (New Rochelle, N.Y.) to a National Letter of Intent for the 2014-15 campaign.

Dixon was a team captain at New Rochelle High School in New Rochelle, N.Y., who finished her high school career with over 1,100 points. She averaged 20.0 points, 8.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game during her senior season. The guard was a two-time All-League and All-Section honoree during her career with the Huguenots, leading them to the conference semifinals in 2013-14.

"Amirror comes to us after having a great high school career," Moore said about her newest addition. "We are very happy to add her to our women's basketball family. She is an athletic point guard that can penetrate and distribute the ball. She also has the ability to shoot the three as well as finish in traffic. She is a good defender and we are excited to have her come in and play both guard positions for us."

The Pioneers wrapped up a program-setting 2013-14 campaign, falling in the NCAA Division II East Region Championship final to top-ranked and eventual national champion Bentley. The green and gold finished with a 24-7 overall record, the second-most single-season wins in program history.
