Hagenah Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team Honors
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (May 2, 2014) - On Thursday, senior shortstop
Nicole Hagenah (Commack, N.Y.) of the No. 17 LIU Post softball team was recognized to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District I First-Team for the second time in her career.
Also a 2012 member, Hagenah finished the regular season batting .399, while leading the team with 63 hits, 12 doubles, three triples, and 48 runs scored. She has also launched nine home runs, to go along with a .684 slugging and a .476 on-base clip. So far, the senior has an overall grade-point average of 3.73 as a criminal justice major.
Hagenah and the top-seeded Pioneers are back in action today, as they host the East Coast Conference Championship. They will face off against fourth-seeded Dowling at 1 p.m. for first-round action at the LIU Post Softball Complex in Brookville, N.Y.
