Bielawski Tabbed to Lead Women's Tennis Program

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Jul. 21, 2014) - On Monday, LIU Post Director of Athletics and Recreation Bryan Collins (Sayville, N.Y.) announced the hiring of Darrel Bielawski (New York, N.Y.) to lead the women's tennis program.
 
Bielawski comes to the Pioneers with 25 years of experience as a competitive player, teaching professional and program director in the tennis field.

"I am excited to be a new member of the Pioneer family and look forward to a great upcoming tennis season," Bielawski said.
 
He is a former Top-5 junior player in the ETA who competed against future professionals, including Andy Roddick and Justin Gimelstob.
 
Bielawski graduated from Schenectady High School in 1997 and went on to play tennis at Division I Marist. He is currently a Senior Teaching Professional at GO! Tennis at North Shore Racquets Club in Bayside and the Head Tennis Professional at North Hills Country Club in Manhasset.
