Londot Tabbed ECC Rookie of the Week

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Nov. 9, 2015) - For the second time this season, LIU Post volleyball freshman outside hitter Rachel Londot (Utica, Ohio) has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Londot, who last earned the honor on Sept. 8, posted a double-double in back-to-back road wins over the weekend. She averaged 11.5 kills and 17.0 digs per match, while also serving a pair of aces and adding two solo blocks.

Londot recorded 12 kills on a .500 attack percentage and 14 digs in a three-set sweep of Roberts Wesleyan College (Nov. 7). The next day, she had 11 kills and 20 digs in a thrilling 3-2 victory at Daemen College (Nov. 8).

Londot currently leads the ECC and ranks fifth in Division II in service aces (56). Additionally, she is third amongst all freshmen in the league in kills with 260 (ninth overall).

Londot and the Pioneers return to action Tuesday (Nov. 10), when they face New York Institute of Technology in an ECC tilt in Old Westbury. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
