Seven Swimmers Qualify For 2015 NCAA Championships

Official 2015 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships Qualification List

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 26, 2014) - The official qualification lists for the 2015 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships were announced on Wednesday, and seven members of the LIU Post women's swimming team earned spots to compete in Indianapolis from Mar. 11- 15.

Freshman Laura Bendfeldt (Grosshansdorf, Germany) will be racing in the 50 and 100 freestyle, the 100 butterfly and the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relays. Junior Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) qualified for the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events, as well as the 100-yard backstroke, 200 and 400 freestyle relays and the 200 and 400-yard medley relays. Senior Courtney Delehanty (Oceanport, N.J.) is set to compete in the 200-yard freestyle relay, after qualifying with a time of 1:33.42, as well as the 50-yard freestyle, while junior Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales) will swim in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard medley relay.

The reigning 200-yard butterfly national champion, Joyce Kwok (Middle VIllage, N.Y.), will look to capture her third national title in the feat, as she qualified for the 2015 competition at 1:59.52. The junior will also swim in the 200- and 400-yard medley relay, the 100-yard butterfly, the 200-yard backstroke and the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relay. Seniors Johanna Pettersson (Kungalv, Sweden) and Carolin Rademacher (Isernhagen, Germany) each earned slots in six events. Pettersson will compete in the 200-yard individual medley, 200- and 400-yard freestyle, the 400-yard medley relay and the 100- and 200-yard backstroke, while Rademacher will swim in the 200- and 400-yard individual medley, the 200- and 400-yard medley relay and the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke.
