Crouse Named NFHCA Division II National Scholar Athlete
CHANDLER, Ariz. (May 14, 2015) - The offseason accolades continue to pile up for LIU Post field hockey defender
Dani Crouse (Westville, South Africa), as the graduate was named the
inaugural National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II National Scholar Athlete.
The award is presented to the student-athlete who was possessed the highest cumulative GPA as a Dvision II All-American First, Second or Third Team selection.
Crouse finished her graduate studies in Special Education with a perfect 4.0 GPA, while leading the Pioneers to back-to-back national final appearances.
On the field, Crouse, the Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year, tallied nine goals and eight assists, good for 26 points, through the 2014 campaign. She was a key component in a Pioneer defensive line that ranked No. 1 in all of Division II for scoring average (3.88) and second for scoring margin (2.80).
