Volleyball to Hold Various Summer Clinics
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Jun. 2, 2015) - Head Volleyball Coach
Shellane Ogoshi (Levittown, N.Y.) has announced the dates for the 2015 LIU Post Summer Volleyball Clinics, to be held at the Pratt Recreation Center. Ogoshi, along with current LIU Post assistant coaches and student-athletes, will oversee the clinics that will focus on skill development for players of all levels.
Skills clinics will be held on consecutive weekends, with the first clinic to begin on Jul. 31, ending on Aug. 2. A second clinic is slated to run from Aug. 7-9. These clinics are designed to provide one-on-one attention to improve volleyball skills through basic and advanced drills, as well as competitions.
A pre-tryout camp will commence from Aug. 14-16. This clinic is designed to provide players with the necessary skills and tools to successfully make a club team or varsity program in the fall.
Also during the summer, the LIU Post volleyball team will hold skill-specific sessions at various points from Jul. 7-Aug. 15. These sessions are designed to break down volleyball skills in a greater depth, and the clinic will focus on repetition to enhance, refine and improve a volleyball player's skills.
